Udyam Registration Process: Step-by-Step from Start to Certificate

The Udyam Registration process is designed to be completed in a single online session. It requires no physical documents, no office visit, and charges no fee. The certificate is issued immediately upon successful submission.

Step 1 — Select Registration Type

Choose the appropriate category: new entrepreneur, migrating from UAM, or enterprise requiring assisted filing.

Step 2 — Aadhaar Authentication

Enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number and name. An OTP is sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile. Enter the OTP to verify identity.

Step 3 — PAN Verification

Enter the enterprise PAN. The system verifies it automatically against the Income Tax database.

Step 4 — Enterprise Details

Fill in enterprise name, type of organisation, date of incorporation, address, bank account details, NIC Code, number of employees, and GSTIN if applicable.

Step 5 — Submit

Review all details and submit. The Udyam Registration Number is generated immediately. The certificate is sent to the registered email.
